Participants are guided to recognize what triggers their spending, how using credit leads to debt, and ways to cope with challenging feelings about money. By the end of the course, participants will create a Financial Wellness Plan to set attainable financial goals. A strong presence of acceptance, encouragement, and the core topic of each class is aimed at establishing a sense of control over their finances. Financial Wellness is after all one of the eight dimensions that are interconnected with the overall model. In fact, financial wellness impacts all of the other life domains in some way. For most, improving their financial situation can improve their overall wellness in various ways. Financial Wellness will be covering a series of topics over a six-week period with one session per week for 90 minutes.
